What do you like most?

That Odoo POS can be scaled precisely to our needs. We started with one till and a single warehouse, and as the shop has grown, we’ve added new features and an extra sales outlet — without having to change systems or buy a new integration. That’s worth its weight in gold for a shop with an eye on growth.

What do you like least?

You need to spend some time familiarising yourself with the terminology, and permissions are quite open by default — a bit of configuration is required to ensure that till staff can only do what they’re supposed to. But it’s a one-off setup, and you get used to it quickly.

What business-critical problems do you feel Odoo POS solves?

We used to rely on a till system that couldn’t keep up when we opened another outlet. Stock levels had to be reconciled manually across both sites, and reporting was a patchwork of Excel spreadsheets. With Odoo POS, we now have a single, integrated system across both locations — real-time stock, a shared customer overview and centralised reports. This has enabled us to grow without adding to our administrative overhead.

What do you like most?

We used to use three different systems for the till, stock and accounts. With Odoo POS, everything is linked automatically — a sale is immediately reflected in the stock and accounts. This saves us a lot of double-entry work and errors at the end of the month.

What do you like least?

Set-up and customisation require a thorough understanding of the system. We used a partner for the implementation, and that was necessary — you can’t just get started in an afternoon. The documentation could also be a bit clearer in Danish.

What business-critical problems do you feel Odoo POS solves?

We had a real problem with stock-taking — we never knew exactly what we had on the shelves because the till system and the warehouse weren’t synchronised. With Odoo POS, stock levels are updated in real time, and we can draw up a proper purchasing plan without having to guess.

What do you like most?

The till, stock and sales all work together within a single system. We’ve brought virtually everything together in one place, which gives us a much better overview and significantly fewer manual processes and errors.

What do you like least?

The implementation required a bit of adjustment, and there was a learning curve for the staff at the till at the start.

What business-critical problems do you feel Odoo POS solves?

Previously, sales, stock and payments were managed in separate systems, and figures had to be reconciled manually — this led to duplication of effort, errors and a lack of overview in a busy shop. With Odoo POS, the till, stock management and sales data are all in one place, so stock levels are updated automatically with every sale, transactions are processed more quickly, and we always have an accurate overview across the shop. This has eliminated a large part of the manual follow-up work and made day-to-day operations significantly more streamlined.
