Context: food-truck/market environment. POS crashed ~20% of sessions under real queues. We tried Wi-Fi + 4G hotspot, reboot/re-pair per support; other POS on the same setup was stable. I signed up for a POS system via Northmill Flo after the seller promised a one-year commitment period. The contract said something completely different, much longer. Now I'm paying £1,200 a month for a system I don't even use, because the company I signed the contract for no longer exists. When I wanted to move the hardware to a new company, it was refused without any sensible explanation. As if that wasn't enough, I have another contract with exactly the same services - but without the hardware - and pay the same amount. How does that make sense? Support is also difficult to reach and does not get back to me as promised. My warning: don't rely on verbal promises, read contracts carefully and be prepared for a lack of flexibility.
